We've Been Married for 8 Months!

I know I never blog and today, I'm writing TWO! (Honestly, it's because when I was checking out the first one and I saw the date... I realized it's been eight months today since I got married. WOOHOO!)

Our little story started long before Matt came to BYU and met my lovely roommates... one of which attacked us with these dots. :) (Thanks Kim Benne-- it's one of my favs)

We actually became best friends after "climbing many trees" and going on several walks in different parks. Maybe that's why our engagement pictures surrounded trees in a park.

Then, on November 22, 2008 we were sealed for eternity at the Houston Texas Temple.

And our story keeps on getting better and better...Happy 8 Months Matthew!

Texas Summer Thunderstorms

So we been having a summer drought. :*( And it's been ridiculously hot this summer. In a typical summer in Texas, almost daily you'll get about a 20 minute thunderstorm. It pours down rain, and I'm not talking just big drops. I mean it pours so hard that it's hard to see across the street sometimes. and then it stops the humidity starts and the mosquitoes come out. It's one of my favorite things about Summer in Texas. I love reading books when it's raining outside or actually going out and playing in it. It's my first full summer home in over three years and it hasn't been the normal summer. No thunderstorms, just the SUN and HOT! (Typically that would be a good thing in the summer time, but only if you have a pool to swim in... but we don't have a pool, so it's LAME!)

But since this weekend, the thunderstorms have started up again. Yesterday I was walking to work when one was about to start. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw this huge lightning bolt and instantly the thunder started to roll. The same thunder lasted until I was inside our building. My work is at a mall, so I have to walk a little ways to get to it, so that should tell you how long the thunder rolled. It was AWESOME! Sadly I was at work when it started to pour down rain and not at home so I could enjoy it.

Today, I still have to go to work, but the rain came early. I wanted to use Matt's camera to video it, but he has it at school today, so my cell phone videos will just have to do. But believe me, it doesn't do it justice about how hard it actually was raining.

(I have no idea what the noise is on the video...it sounds like a train coming through.. it's really weird cause that's not what it sounded like when i got it out of my email.)

Utah occasionally had a good summer storm, but nothing compares to the ones in Southeast Texas. I love being home!

Oh the Memories...

This weekend my childhood, youth hood, however you want to put it, friend got married. So I went shopping so I could have new clothes to wear. My mom was shocked by my shoes... so she said she had to take a picture. I don't know why she was so surprised...

Maybe it's because I'm wearing stiletto heels!!!!

My FIRST Pair! I think they're HOTT!

Then Matt came out and I said take a picture with me, and he asked... what are we going to the prom or something? Such a boy.

I'm still way shorter than him with four inch heels. haha

So off we went on our long journey (haha) to Silsbee to the wedding. Hayley looked so beautiful! I was glad I could be off work to enjoy the evening with her. As soon as I got there, I snuck a peek at the bride, and one of the bridesmaids.

Fru, Wu, and Du

So Hayley Wu's wedding had me thinking alot about the past. Things I missed, things I wish had been different, and things that I loved. Here's one that came to mind...

Sleepover at my house for New Year's Eve

We loved our Blue Bell Ice Cream

We have so many memories together. And hopefully we'll have plenty more! Congratulations Hayley Wu (Tu)! haha.

I NeVeR Blog.... Oops.

I'm sorry I never blog. Matt and I aren't that interesting apparently. haha. We are trying to get back in shape and be healthy. So we are in the process of buying new BIKES! It's loads of fun. Matt actually already bought his. So now it's just me.

We were doing this Couch to 5K plan that I saw on my friend's blog. It looked awesome. By the end of the summer we were going to be able to JOG a 5K. But, we did it the first day and we never did it again. We FAILED! Actually, the problem is Matt's LONG legs mean his JOGGING is me SPRINTING! No bueno. So I tell him to slow down and my jogging is him walking in place. haha. Can you imagine?

Solution: BIKES.

So when, I finally get my bike and we actually take them outside and use them, we'll have to take a picture (because everyone knows people only look at blogs for the pictures).

We also are borrowing Matt's parents' boflex. We're going to be BUFF. Just watch out. :) I don't even know how to use it. He tried to show me the other day, but I'm still learning.

Anyways, working out is our big summer plans. Matt's in school all summer so no vacations. And I work all the time, so no weekend vacations. But oh snap am I going to be skinny and buff when the summer is over!!!
