Lessons from the Past

If I could go back and give advise to my younger self, I would tell myself to never stop working out. I quit playing sports about 8 years ago, and my body has never been the same since.

In the last 8 years, I have worked out off and on, but nothing ever sticks. As a freshman in college, I gained you know a few pounds, not quite the freshman 15, but definitely didn't do anything active. The end of my freshman year I got sick and lost it all plus some. I was skinny but it was sickly skinny. Well that lasted you know for the summer and then my medicine made me blow up like a balloon.

I started playing racquetball, going running, and playing basketball with some of my friends my last two years of school.. That only happened during the spring time though mostly, because it is far tooooooo cold for to go outside in Utah in the winter and it's way toooooo hot in the summer. Great excuses right? But you know, campus is huge, and there are a million stairs that are the only route to campus from the student parking lots. So I was walking a lot so it worked out right?

I moved home after graduating and have done pretty much absolutely nothing to stay active. Matt and I are so busy, but we are trying hard to get back to our skinny looking selves. The last couple of weeks I've been getting help from Richard to get rid of my flabby arms, big legs, and growing tummy.

I know Richard seems old school to some, but I love it. It's got to be Sweatin' to the Oldies 2 for me. Anyways, I've also been working out on an elliptical and using an exercise ball. But I don't feel like it's doing enough.

Do you have any ideas of how I can get my abs of steel back? I want something I can do at home in the evenings after getting home from work. Please help!

Moral to the story... never stop being active... it's too hard to get it back.

Domestic Diva...

...That's ME!

I promised Matt when we were discussing buying our house that I would start baking and cooking since our kitchen is amazing. We're still working on the cooking thing, but I've definitely baked a few things and made dinner once or twice. Impressive I know. Here's a look at my AMAZINGNESS. (I'm modest... I know that too.)

I made taco rings for dinner one night.. and this was what was left when I remembered to take the picture.

I know you all want to come live at my house now! Don't be jealous. :)
