It's Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood...

Matt and I went to the Houston Temple yesterday. A couple from church were being sealed. We took the missionaries, so they could go. It was sprinkling when we left home but it was beautiful at the temple... as it always is.



I teach the 11 and 12 year olds at church. Matt comes in to help me, so we kind of team teach. Anyways, we taught the class about celestial marriage and the marriage between Isaac and Rebekah in Genesis 24. It was great to go to the temple to get a reminder, so we could share with the youth how awesome it is.

Today She Would Be 22...

Today my friend would have been 22 years old.

We met at church when we were 12. We were getting CPR certified for Girls Camp. We were instantly friends since we were the same height (under 5 feet) at the time. Girls Camp was the best that year...

... after several letters in the mail, chatting on AOL, e-mails, and sleepovers we became BEST Friends.

Then, she got sick. I went to visit her on her last trip home.
And she got to go to prom.

I miss you Katie Ru!

But I know I'll see you again someday!!!

Workout 2010 Update

Okay. So apparently I need some motivation to work out. I even watched the Biggest Loser this week and still NOTHING. I have only worked out one time this entire month! (That's pretty embarrassing.)

I need help!!!

Any ideas on how to get motivated after being at work, staring at a computer screen all day long?

(On a side note.. We did try and ride our bikes yesterday, but the pump broke so we couldn't air up our tires... and it looked like it was going to rain... so that counts for something right?)

Any advice is welcome. Thanks.

New Year's Update

Here's the rest of our holidays. We got to be the chaperons for the New Year's Eve Dance. FOUR HOURS OF BORING!!! Woohoo! We wanted to go hang out with my friend Jessica and her family, but it didn't work out.


We looked cute though if I do say so myself!
The next day my cousin Holly got married. Matt was a groomsman. He looked very stylish in his Tux. We had a fun day.





We came home and watched a movie and took a long nap. It was amazing. That's the way to start a new year.
