Happy First Anniversary!

One year ago today, my sweet wife FINALLY decided that she liked me enough to say yes. It was a long wait (ohhh about 7 years...ok maybe 1.5), but it was worth every minute. She is the best wife any man could want. We've grown so much over the past year and developed our relationship exponentially (that means a lot). We've both had a lot of maturing to do, and we made it happen. I love her so much. She makes me happier than I could have ever wanted to be.

Since our anniversary fell on a Sunday, we decided to celebrate on Friday and Saturday. I bought her a gift, which was kind of lame because I waited till the last minute.

I bought her some perfume, that I let her smell first because she is very particular when it comes to smell. Then, on my way home I stopped at Walgreens for something else, saw the cards and thought, "Oh...I guess that would be good too." (So don't think I actually thought to get a card...it was a rare circumstance). Then I walked past some flowers and thought, "Oh...yeah..." so it turned out nice =).

Then we went to Houston when Kari got off work. We stayed at a hotel near the temple and woke up on Saturday and went to the temple. Afterward, we headed down 1960 (that's a road) to an Italian restaurant one of my friends suggested, however, it was closed on Saturday for lunch. We would have gone Friday night, but we didn't get to Houston until late. So we traveled a bit further and made it to 1960 and 59. On the Northbound side, just past the intersection, there is a Italian restaurant called Zio's Italian Kitchen. It was so amazing. The atmosphere was nice. It was really quiet, authentic, great service, and really good food.

Sorry they're blurry. My camera sucks on my phone. Anyways, so the food was good. Then we came home.

Today, after church, I decided that we needed to keep up with the tradition to eat the wedding cake topper on the first anniversary. So we've had it in our freezer for a year....I've been waiting all this time....the results??

Haha, not really. It really didn't taste that bad. But we each took like one bite and threw it away.

So basically, it was an awesome weekend. I love you Kari!
