New Do for Summer Fun

I got my hair cut last week. (I know when you see it, you will say it looks like it always does.) I did try something a little different this time though. I went for the inverted bob inspired from this picture.

I really like it!

(Please pay no attention to the X-ray looking skin)


Don't worry, I can't actually style my hair, so it will never look like this... until I get it cut again.

Matt's Happiest Day Ever

This weekend we took a trip with our friend Jessica to Moody Gardens in Galveston. Jessica had free tickets to do pretty much everything (don't be too jealous just yet).

Matt really wanted to see the penguins at the Aquarium. (In case you didn't know, Matt's favorite animal is a penguin... he begs me for a pet penguin.) Jessica's little sister Hannah volunteers with the penguin exhibit in the Aquarium once a month, and Saturday just happened to be her day to work. We watched her feed the penguins.

After she finished, she had a special surprise for us....(cue Jealousy.)

Matt got to touch a penguin!! (Hannah was super excited to make his DREAM come TRUE)

Then, it was my turn. It's pretty much the softest thing I have ever felt before.

Thanks Jessica for taking us along and Hannah for letting us meet the baby penguin.

Afterwards, Matt went to the gift shop and bought himself the softest penguin he could find. He named it Cuddles. Now we are just hoping Moody Gardens will name the real penguin Cuddles. :)
